Scoop! BS6 Isuzu MU-X spotted testing

It is unclear when Isuzu plans to launch the MU-X in India, but the vehicle has been mentioned on the brand's website.

A test mule of the Isuzu MU-X has been spotted in Bangalore. It is believed to be the BS6 version of the SUV.

Isuzu unveiled the next-generation of the MU-X in October 2020. However, the car seen testing in Bangalore is the old one which was already on sale before the BS6 emission norms came in. Isuzu may be using the bodyshell to test the new engine. It is unclear when Isuzu plans to launch the MU-X in India, but the vehicle has been mentioned on the brand's website.

In Thailand, the next-generation Isuzu MU-X is offered with a 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 148 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 350 Nm @ 1,800-2,600 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV also comes with a 3.0-litre diesel unit that puts out 187 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm @ 1,600-2,600 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and comes with all-wheel drive.
