The Mahindra XUV500 is likely to receive an update soon. The facelift XUV500 was recently spotted testing along with its stable mates - the TUV300 Plus and the Ssangyong Tivoli.

The latest spy images indicate that the front end of the XUV500 might get a substantial update in addition to minor changes to the rear. The test mule can also be seen sporting new design alloy wheels with a black finish. The overall profile of the vehicle hasn't changed and Mahindra seems to have retained the triple-pod tail lamp cluster as well. The test car appears to have a larger rear spoiler.

Inside, the XUV500 facelift might receive minor updates, however the basic dashboard layout is expected to remain the same. Additionally, the SUV will likely come with an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options.

According to recent media reports, the new model might be offered with a re-tuned 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel engine. The engine is rumoured to produce 168 BHP of peak torque and upwards of 350 Nm of torque. That said, there has been no official word confirming this information yet.
