SsangYong Rexton G4 facelift leaked!

Earlier this month, SsangYong had released a few teaser images of the updated Rexton G4. Now, a new set of images revealing the actual car have been leaked.

The styling updates give the Rexton G4 a bolder look. It features a redesigned front fascia with lots of chrome and LED headlights. The front bumper has also been redesigned.

SsangYong has made some changes to the rear of the car as well. It gets reworked LED tail lights with Rexton lettering and a chrome strip between the two clusters. The new rear bumper comes with integrated L-shaped reflectors that also house the reversing lights. The SUV appears to have faux chrome exhausts as well.

The interior layout hasn't changed much. It features a new 4-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.

The updated Rexton G4 is likely to retain the 2.2-litre diesel engine that powers the current car. This engine puts out 184 BHP and 422 Nm. Rumours suggest that it might also get a turbo-petrol engine from Mahindra's mStallion range.

In India, the Mahindra Alturas G4 competes with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the MG Gloster.
