Tata Motors to launch heavy-duty tipper range at EXCON 2017

Tata Motors will reveal 6 new construction and mining commercial vehicles from its ‘Construck’ range at the 9th International Construction Equipment and Construction Technology Trade Fair (EXCON 2017). The new heavy-duty tipper range is equipped with the 4th generation ULTIMAAX suspension system that has been jointly developed with Hendrickson Inc.

The ULTIMAAX rear suspension uses a heavy-duty beam with central pivot and a combination of shear springs and progressive springs. The progressive springs are the main load carrying components and are made using a rubber material. The stiffness of the springs changes depending on the load but doesn’t affect ride characteristics. Rubber bushes are used at both ends that don’t require periodic lubrication. Compared to standard suspension, ULTIMAAX is claimed to have a higher payload capacity of 250 kg.

On display will be the new PRIMA LX 3130.K 19 CuaM scoop tipper, PRIMA LX 2525.K 16 CuM Box tipper with Ultimaax suspension, PRIMA LX 3125.K 23 CuM box tipper, SIGNA 3718.TK 24 CuM box tipper, SIGNA 2518.K 7 CuM Transit Mixer with Bogie suspension and SIGNA 4923.S 14X2 CuM sideways tip trailer. In addition to the ULTIMAAX suspension, these tippers come equipped with Cummins SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology and factory-fitted AC SIGNA cabins.

Tata Motors offers 4 years / 4 lakh km / 4,000 hours (5,000 hours for PRIMA range) warranty on its Construck range.
