Tata Nexon prices hiked by up to Rs 15,000; new variants added

Like the Nexon EV, the standard Nexon is now available in LUX and LUXS trims.

Tata Motors has increased the prices of the Nexon by up to Rs 15,000. The carmaker has also made some changes to the variant line-up.

Prices of the petrol variants have gone up by Rs 10,000, while the diesel trims cost Rs 15,000 more. As a result, the base price for the Nexon has been revised to Rs 7.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors often rejigs variants depending on demand and other factors. This time, the carmaker deleted the XZ Plus, XZA Plus, along with their HS, L, Premium, Dark Edition, Dual Tone and Kaziranga trims. These have been replaced with two new variants called LUX and LUXS.

The 2023 Nexon carries forward the same engines as before. The compact SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 118 BHP and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that puts out 108 BHP and 260 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.
