Tata Tiago.ev: Would you buy the base, mid or top variants?

The Tiago.ev XT variant offers the best value when it comes to features.

BHPian Ripcord09 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

In 2025, three years after its initial launch, Tata Motors has updated its entry-level EV with minor tweaks, and somewhat surprisingly, a slightly reduced driving range. The refreshed Tiago.ev now features design updates inside and out that align more closely with the brand’s current design language, including a subtle change to its name. Here's a link to our full official review of the car - (Review Link).

Much like the pre-facelift model, the updated EV hatchback is available with two battery options, spread across three trims. Only the mid variant offers a choice between the 19 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs. Here's a detailed breakdown of each variant to help you choose the one that best suits your needs.

Conclusion

The Tiago.ev XT variant offers the best value when it comes to features - and even range - with the larger battery pack. If your priority is maximum range along with just the essential features, the XT Long Range model is an ideal choice. However, if you're willing to spend around Rs. 1 lakh more, the XZ Plus variant adds a host of desirable extras, including a larger infotainment screen, wireless smartphone connectivity, and additional safety features.

Do let us know what you think is the most value-for-money variant, and also if you had to buy the Tata Tiago.ev, which variant would you pick?

Here's what BHPian mally2 had to say on the matter:

While I personally bought the XZ+, I realized this is more like a second car and can't do a lot of the longer(500km one way) highway duties. Now I have a Nexon 45. The Tiago EV is my wife's beater. That said, in hindsight, I should have gone for the XT and saved 1L.

Here's what BHPian speed79 had to say on the matter:

If I have to buy an electric car today for city usage, it will be a Tiago. The variant would be XT Medium Range as my daily running is hardly 15-16 kms, and charging it once in 10-11 days would not be not an irritant.
