Tata Tigor XM variant launched at Rs. 4.99 lakh

Tata Motors has launched a new mid-variant of the Tigor compact sedan. The Tigor XM variant is priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh for the petrol version and the diesel model is priced at Rs. 5.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The XM variant of the Tigor slots in between the base XE and XT variants both in terms of price and equipment. On the outside, the XM variant misses out on the body coloured ORVMs and door handles along with the LED turn indicators on ORVMs. It comes with features like power windows, manual central locking with key, speed dependent auto door locks, follow me home lamps, theatre dimming interior lamps, LED fuel gauge and infotainment system with Juke-Car App and turn by turn navigation. Safety features like ABS along with driver and passenger side airbags are absent on this variant.

The Tigor is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque @ 3,500 rpm. The 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine makes 69 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 140 Nm @ 1,800 - 3,000 rpm. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It rides on 14-inch steel wheels and gets full wheel covers instead of a hub covers on the base variant.
