Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC launched at Rs. 10.73 lakh

Triumph has launched the Scrambler 1200 XC in India priced at Rs. 10.73 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC is based on a tubular steel frame. It measures 840 mm in width, 1,200 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,530 mm. The bike weighs 205 kg (dry weight) and comes with a 16 litre fuel tank.

The Scrambler 1200 XC features a circular LED headlamp with an integrated LED daytime running light and a digital instrument cluster. The bike has a flat seat and twin side-mounted exhausts. It rides on 21-inch spoked wheels at the front and 17-inch at the rear, shod with dual-purpose tyres. 

Powering the Scrambler 1200 XC is a 1,200cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 89 BHP @ 7,400 rpm and 110 Nm of torque @ 3,950 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a torque-assist clutch. It features ride-by-wire and has 5 riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road and Rider-Configurable.

The bike comes equipped with 45 mm upside down Showa forks at the front and Ohlins twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm Brembo discs with 4-piston calipers at the front and a single 255 mm Brembo disc with a 2-piston caliper at the rear and comes with dual-channel ABS.

Other features include keyless ignition, cruise control, USB charging, Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation and provision for Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
