Two new car launches every year: Hyundai India

Hyundai India has announced that it would be launching two new cars every year in the country's growing market to enhance its market share. This announcement was made during the recent launch of the 2016 Hyundai Elantra.

Hyundai currently claims a 17.1 percent market share in the passenger vehicle segment in India. The Indian arm contributes 13 percent of Hyundai's global sales. Since the market is expanding every month, Hyundai too is trying to grow its Indian business.

After the company recently launched the Elantra premium sedan, it is now focusing on introducing the Tucson premium SUV, which is expected to launch in the month of October or November 2016.

Through the new launches, Hyundai is trying to drift its portfolio towards the premium segment, while the entry-level market will then be taken care of by the Kia brand that is scheduled to make its Indian debut next year.
