Volkswagen Taigun spotted testing undisguised

This appears to be the GT variant of the SUV, which could be launched during the festive season.

The Volkswagen Taigun SUV has been spotted testing in Pune without any camouflage.

The Taigun is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which also underpins the Skoda Kushaq. The tail light of the car stretches across the tailgate and gets a black surround. It also gets Taigun lettering and what appears to be a GT badge on the tailgate, indicating that this is the GT variant of the SUV.

The Taigun will be offered with two engine options - a 1.0-litre TSI petrol paired with a 6-speed MT & AT and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol paired with a 6-speed MT and 7-speed DSG. The GT variant will get the 1.5L TSI engine making 148 BHP and 250 Nm.

The Taigun could be launched during the festive season this year.
