According to a Volvo India document dated September 3, 2019, cars for model year 2020 (MY20) will not have safety features like Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Cross Traffic Alert (CTA).

Head up display is also being omitted from the Inscription (top) variant of the XC90, S90 and V90 Cross Country. Besides this, the XC60 and V90 Cross Country will no longer be offered with air suspension and power folding rear seat backrest.

The 10-spoke silver diamond cut 20-inch alloys of the XC90 Inscription have been replaced with 10-spoke black diamond cut alloys. The car no longer gets child seat anchors in the centre rear seat. Heated rear seats function has been removed from the S90, XC60 and V90 Cross Country. Volvo has also discontinued the Magic Blue exterior colour.

The document states that sales of MY20 cars have commenced from the month of October 2019.
