Website for Tata Bolt goes live

Along with the one for the Zest compact sedan, Tata Motors has taken live, a dedicated website for the upcoming Bolt hatchback that reveals all the details about the car. Thanks to Anuj Purohit for sharing the url with us!

While the Bolt has an overall body shape similar to the Vista, it reflects Tata's new design language. It shares its front end with the Zest, using the new signature grille, headlamps and bumper. At the rear, the car has lost Tata's traditional Christmas tree tail lamp cluster. A compact unit has taken its place. The number plate is housed on the hatch instead of the rear bumper as we had seen on previous Tata hatchbacks.

The interior of the Bolt is, once again, similar to the Zest. There is a new steering wheel, a new dashboard and instrument cluster. Equipment includes climate control, and touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, satellite navigation and voice commands.

Powering the Bolt is Tata's new 1.2-litre, turbocharged, Revotron petrol unit, which develops 85 PS @ 5000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 1750-3500 rpm. Customers can opt for a 1.3-litre, Quadrajet motor, which produces 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque. Both, the petrol and the diesel, will get a 5-speed manual gearbox.
