Mini Clubman removed from website

The Mini Clubman has been removed from the brand's Indian website.

The Clubman was launched in India in December 2016 and in February 2020, Mini launched the Clubman India Summer Red Edition. Only 15 units of the India Summer Red Edition were available.

The Clubman was powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 189 BHP and 280 Nm. While the car initially came with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the India Summer Red Edition came with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

When it was introduced in the Indian market, the Clubman was the largest Mini on sale in India. It came with an electrically operated split tailgate and LED tail lights with the Union Jack design.

Mini Clubman India Summer Red Edition launched

Mini has launched the Clubman India Summer Red Edition in India priced at Rs. 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 15 units will be available and bookings will open on Amazon on February 15, 2020.

The Clubman India Summer Red Edition is finished in Indian Summer Red Metallic exterior colour with Piano Black details. It has circular LED headlights, fog lights and redesigned ORVMs, LED tail lights with the Union Jack design and radiator grille. The Clubman has an electrically operated split tail gate.

On the inside, the Clubman comes with electrically adjustable sports seats with memory function and leatherette Carbon Black upholstery, multi-function sport leather steering wheel, panoramic sunroof and a 6.5-inch infotainment head-unit. The Mini Excitement Pack adds LED interior and ambient lighting and puddle light with Mini logo.

Powering the Clubman is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine that produces 189 BHP and 280 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Clubman comes equipped with front and passenger airbags, ABS with brake assist, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control, Crash Sensor, cruise control and rear view camera.

Mini Clubman launched in India at Rs. 37.9 lakh

Mini has launched the new Clubman in India at a price of Rs. 37.9 lakh (ex-showroom). It has been launched in the Cooper S variant. This launch marks the introduction of the fifth product in Mini's India portfolio, after the Mini 3-door, 5-door, Convertible and the Countryman. The Clubman is also currently the largest Mini on sale in the country.

The new Clubman gets a redesigned front fascia, which includes a new front grille, updated headlamps and a tweaked bumper. The Clubman also features a unique two-door tailgate which, according to the company, ensures ease of loading luggage at the back.

On the inside, the Clubman retains design cues from other Mini cars offered in the country. The entire dashboard layout adopts a circular design theme. The centre console, instrument cluster, AC vents and even the door handles are circular in shape. Features on offer with the Clubman include electronic parking brake, electric seat adjustment, automatic tailgate, reverse parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels, airbags, ABS and stability control. It also gets a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control.

The Mini Clubman in India is available with only a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which churns out 189 BHP and 280 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Mini claims that the Clubman Cooper S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. The car has a company claimed fuel efficiency of 13.84 km/l.

Mini Clubman to launch in India on December 15

The Mini Clubman will be launched in India on December 15, 2016. The carmaker had first announced plans to introduce the Clubman in India during the 2016 Auto Expo.

The new Clubman was globally unveiled in July 2015. It is based on BMW's front-wheel drive UKL platform. The new model gets a redesigned front fascia with a new grille, tweaked headlamps and a reworked bumper. The rear gets a two-door a boot lid layout. The Clubman's dimensions stand at 4,253 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,441 mm (L x W x H).

In India, Mini is expected to launch the Clubman with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor develops 189 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 1,250 rpm, while the diesel churns out 147.5 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 330 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm.

New Mini Clubman India launch scheduled for late 2016

After revealing the Clubman in July last year, Mini is gearing up to launch the car in India as well. BMW India is expanding the range of Mini models available to cater to more lifestyle buyers. The company recently launched the Cooper S Convertible in the country and like it, the Clubman is based on BMW's UKL platform.

Like the rest of Mini's range, the Clubman holds the brand name ironically. Length x width x height x wheelbase dimensions of the Clubman come in at 4,253 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,441 mm x 2,670 mm.

Mini is likely to launch the new Clubman with 2.0L diesel and petrol engines: 

- The petrol Cooper S Clubman gets a 1,998 cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 189 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 1,250 rpm (300 Nm with overboost). 0-100 kph comes up in a claimed 7.2 seconds with the car's top speed rated at 228 kph.

- The Cooper D Clubman gets a 1,955cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 147.5 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 330 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. 0-100 kph comes up in a claimed 8.6 seconds with the top speed rated at 212 kph.

Standard features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC), and front / side / curtain airbags. The Clubman's list of customizations will be expansive and of course, expensive.

All-new Mini Clubman unveiled

Mini has officially revealed the new Clubman with a premier in Berlin. Length x width x height x wheelbase dimensions of the big Mini come in at 4,253 mm, 1,800 mm, 1,441 mm x 2,670 mm. Compared to the old Clubman, the length, width and wheelbase go up by 27 cms, 9 cms and 10 cms respectively. The 5-seater has a boot space of 360L, while the maximum storage volume stands at 1,250L.

The new Clubman has been launched with three Euro 6 engine options:

- Cooper S Clubman: 1,998 cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine with Mini TwinPower Turbo that makes 189 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 1,250 rpm (300 Nm with overboost). 0-100 km/h comes up in a claimed 7.2 seconds with the top speed rated at 228 km/h.

- Cooper Clubman: 1,499 cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine with Mini TwinPower Turbo that makes 134 BHP @ 4,400 rpm and 220 Nm of torque @ 1,250 rpm (230 Nm with overboost). 0-100 km/h comes up in a claimed 9.1 seconds with the top speed rated at 205 km/h.

- Cooper D Clubman: 1,955cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine with Mini TwinPower Turbo that makes 147.5 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 330 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. 0-100 km/h comes up in a claimed 8.6 seconds with the top speed rated at 212 km/h.

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual as standard, along with an optional 6-speed Steptronic transmission (Cooper Clubman), optional 8-speed Steptronic transmission (Cooper S Clubman and Cooper D Clubman) or an 8-speed Steptronic sport transmission (Cooper S Clubman).

The production model looks very similar to the Clubman Concept that was first seen just before the 2014 Geneva motor show. The car features the typical Mini design and sports round fog lamps, round headlamps wrapped around by chrome rings, a chrome lined front grille, black cladding around the bumpers, wheel arches and side skirting, horizontally aligned tail lights, along with a total of 6 doors.

Standard features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC), and front / side / curtain airbags. Other features include the Mini Head-Up-Display, Parking Assistant, rear view camera and Driving Assistant including camera-based active cruise control, collision and pedestrian warning with initial brake function, high beam assistant and road sign detection.

As is the case with any Mini, the new Clubman is available with a wide range of customization / personalization options.
