2015 Ariel Nomad: complete details revealed!

The first sketches of the Ariel Nomad all-terrain vehicle surfaced in December, 2014. Ariel has now officially revealed the complete details on the buggy along with several images of the Nomad in action.

The Nomad uses a bronze welded ladder frame chassis and though it's based on the Atom, the vehicle has been tweaked to better tackle rough terrain. Features include a long travel double wishbone suspension setup at both ends, with alloy steel coil springs by Eibach & outboard dampers by Bilstein. The Nomad also gets chunky 15 inch 235/75 tyres with larger alloy wheels. The off-roader features added roll-over protection as well.

A digital LCD display shows the speedometer, tachometer, water temperature, fuel level, odometer and a trip meter. The instrumentation also has warning lights for the ignition, lights, handbrake, low brake fluid and low oil pressure.

Length x width x height x wheelbase dimensions come in at 3215 mm x 1850 mm x 1425 mm x 2348 mm and the Nomad tips the scales at just 670 kgs.

Power comes from a Honda sourced 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder engine that produces 235 bhp at 7,200 rpm & 300 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed manual gearbox. Ariel claim, the Nomad will do the 0-100 km/h run in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of around 201 km/h.

The Ariel Nomad is priced at £27,500 ( approximately Rs 26.28 Lakh )
