No. We are under pressure. Won't be too long now. I would say 10 days but that would not be an official statement.

Yes baba, these prices include taxes. If OEM accomodation is not a problem, I would consider the 6.5"

^great! As long as we are not getting into dates in 2008, it suits me quite well. Also, any comment on the GT5 amp:

since it gives 4 x 60W RMS, does that mean that if I bridge two channels, it would give 120W RMS to the sub (and 60W each to the components)? And is 120W sufficient to get a good (not necessarily loud) sound out of a 12" sub so connected?

Technically, the amplifier will drive a 12" subwoofer, but it is better if you go for more power to drive a sub. I do not think it will be enough to drive a subwoofer in a sealed box (which definitely needs more power). More is better. However it may be interesting to drive a tube with this amplifier, especially for those on a tight budget.

The components?

The GT5-500C (5.25") and GT5-650C(6.5") are 2 way components with external crossover modules. Priced at 4495 and 4995 per set. FINALLY making a proper component set more achievable to first time ICErs.

Sam, your 10 days are up ... any last words? Well, obviously I'm just kidding.

Nice to know that I'll get to hear about it first, here on team-bhp (from you), so when I see/hear about the same (later), I can point at others and go 'Na na na na nah ... I already know' . On a serious note, it's just coz I'm one of those guys awaiting the lauch of the GT5 amps.

Even i'm one of those guys awaiting the launch of the GT5 amps. lol.

OK, here it is. My official statement. I must apologise and inform you that due to various internal reasons, the launch of ALL GT5 amplifiers have been pushed back worldwide by a whole month. We are working towards bringing these amplifiers to you in a simultaneous world release.

I now expect the GT5 amplifiers to hit state warehouses in the 3rd week of December. Shelves by Christmas. Sorry for this delay but it is out of our hands.

That is wonderful enough. I think it is great to have a simultaneous release. It makes me proud of being a JBL customer.
