Guess Who's Back...????

Well it all started when I moved back to India. Everyday I would be asked "whats your next ride?" "so what crazy car you going to drive?" etc.etc.
One lazy sunday afternoon, my mate,Hussain and I were driving by cantonment station and saw my sweetheart sitting there looking very forlon..it had been 3 years since we parted..but the vibes started that very moment I laid eyes on her. Walked in spoke to the dealer,he quotes an unreasonable price, I look and smile at him.He is so lost wondering what am I looking at..I just tell him "The number plate on the baleno is wrong." The dealer laughs I continue to stare at him..he then gets a copy of the papers and goes through them apologises and sends his boy off to get a new number plate.
I make an offer of 20% lower than his quote and walk out as he refuses. Go meet all my buddies later and the discussion starts to get her back or no...will it work out or no.. Plan is shelved for 2 months.

June comes..I see her again still single and lonely. I made up my mind. Walk into the dealership and do a test drive. She has been abused. No upkeep whatsoever..very dissappointed.Made an offer 35% lower than his asking price. He flatly refused. I smile and leave. make a few calls put some pressure on him. In a week I buy it for 1 lac less than his quoted price.

Take delivery and the car goes straight to Koramangla,Auto Fusion (Big BIg Mistake) I walk in thinking I will buy an mp3 player 2 6x9's for the rear and tints and leave. 1 hour later I have bought the entire ICE for the car and tints and new central locking, New damping etc.etc. a big hole in all my pockets too.

Get the car the next evening...sounds nice but still can improve. Spent half a day tuning the head..JVC AVX-800 got it right and loved it..absolute heaven.
Good sound quality, good imaging. Not too loud.

This is my ride for a month..keep putting off the mods to the engine etc etc..No money. Also tossing between NA or forced induction...made my decision, sourced the parts. Then one day it goes in..still waiting for it to come out..

Went to the garage today and took some pics.. phone pics so please excuse the quality.
that is the elusive Vasu..the guy who did the engine work.

More to be Contd.

Wow!! That is very touching.

Hope the car will come out in flying colours. Have you got the baleno engine or some wicked plans in store?

All the Best!!

So your namesake (or handlesake) is back. In the last 3 years, many superbaleno wannabes have graced the forum, but none could replace the orginal legend.

For the uninitiated or newer members since 2006, this very car was known as the superbaleno, now iceman91 has bought it back. Now it is time for superbaleno 2.0 or reloaded.

She's looking so pretty. Can I marry your engine?

Amit, that's a very touching post. Congrats and may you both never part again :-).

Same question as VJ: Do we get to see the superbaleno this Saturday?

Amit,

Get it back to its original modded status - with the same set of mods/configuration. Trust me, you'll enjoy it more than a G15/G18 engine swap.
