redeye, my friend, there was no need to make 2 posts for that. If it was an afterthought you should have used the "edit" function on your earlier post.

It is my suggestion to you to get the 1201.1 and wire it with 2 gauge cable.

I also think the 1201.1 will fit you best. No sense in underpowering the amp and regretting the amp purchase later. Go for the more powerful option. Especially 'cause you've bought a real monster sub, you should spend what it takes on the amp to take the full bang out of the money spent on the sub.

BTW, what's the rest of your ICE like? HU, front speakers, rear speakers, speaker amps etc? It would be nice to know. And what car? (Just curious).

sorry about that... sam if i choose 601.1 would the subwoofer be underpowered and if i choose 1201.1 is there chances i over power it and harm the sub woofer ... which is the safest and the best..

Redeye, buy what the experts suggest, just see to that no amateur tunes tht setup as its a lot of power.
And we have our own definations of monsters, 300 RMS, monster for some, not so monsterous for some, anyhow let us know how that enclosure booms, shud sound nice.

Prince my friend, as Sam said the stuff tht sells in our market is really entry level stuff in Global standards, just like our cars are, be it JBL or whatever.

Join this website and ask for reviews on 300 RMS subs, you will see the difference, Exposure to new stuff is always good.

Before the thread is closed, a question

You're going to fit Compos in the rear door, How're you planning to connect it? Will the 936s be there too?

Good point Zakkkko,
I overlooked that one. Well redeye, I'd just like to say that There is no need to buy another set of components for the rear door. You're doing good. Leave it.

Sam, He's got plenty of pocket money waiting to be rolling out it seems!

I think his 936s should've been blasted a lot by now.
So, it'll be better if he take out those and put 6.5" Co-axials or components in the back doors. Co-axials would be fine and cheaper too. Or do you wanna spend more Redeye?

But again, I think Sam's above suggestion is good for now.

a) the 936 are sorta not required with a 1201-1204 combo doing bass duty.
b) most rear doors do not have tweeter pods (larger sedan doors do). so unless you are doing some serious modicifations to the rear door (or B pillar) or want to surface mount the tweeters I'd suggest coaxials. there are a few coaxials with their tweeters angled upwards.

closing thread as per request. let me know when you want to open it (more questions or better still, install pics!).
