Pathetic Service at Ring Road Honda-GURGAON

I have been an owner of a brilliant car but regret the ownership expierience, mainly due to their poor service approach.
HONDA is definity not going to be my next car, mainainly due to the poor & inconsiderate cutomer approach of the dealership (Ring Road HONDA, Gurgaon).
1) I had to get the same door painted 3 times for a mild dent, as each time there were bubbles (pin holes), and once color not at all not matching with the rest of the car. They fixed it only when I got Honda to intervene.
2) They craked my bumber while refitting, and refused to accept their fault.

3) They were asked to fix a loose headlight bracket, and asked me to come back next week, even after telling them the same day that the complaint has not been rectified.

The worst part is I got better service and consideration at maruti driving a 1.25 lac second hand Zen, than I get at Honda driving a near 8 lac car.
Very poor show HONDA.

Thats really sad news. I thought HONDA hag decent dealerships around NCR. You better look for a different dealer/workshop!

Hondas problems arise from the fact that to lend an aura of exclusivity they take measures which may not always be the best. Their overpriced cars are one aspect of it. Till date they managed to hold on to that, probably because Indians have had a craze for the tag and the exclusivity it brings.

However another thing they do is not so good for the customers on a day to day basis. They assign a very limited set of dealership points for their cars. This brings down the competition and hence the dealers are complacent. In AP they only have one dealer. Its the Sundaram Honda at Ranigunj, Hyderabad. Obviously they do not give much for loosing customers and have an in general a very aloof attitude towards their customers. Also, they are loaded with service requests because of the number of customers that Honda has. As a result getting even a small thing attended becomes an issue.

I think in your case also the same has been the problem. The dealer does not understand that until the customer is satisfied the service request is not complete. They think that the moment they mark it as done the work is through. Any subsequent issue that you raise as unattended is treated as a new issue all over again and since they won't get any money for that work they show reluctance to take some mech out of the service line and attend to it. At least that is what some of my friends, who have Hondas, say.

I guess you should try Prime Honda. It is in Ghaziabad and my friend always gets his Honda serviced from them and is satisfied with thier service.

Ring Road Honda is sole dealer for Honda in Gurgaon and therefore always crowded.

Even there service sucks , when i gave them my NHC after a month for the first service they changed the engine oil.!!!
i mean the car had done just 1000kms and when i asked them about this they said `sir we have even changed engine oil in cars which have done just 600kms`.!!!

This was my first ever experience with Honda and i was not impressed.

Actually I think that it is required engine oil change during the first service. Check your manual/service booklet. I for one did not find anything odd.

It says after 5000kms or 6 months (whichever is earlier).!!!!

so why change it when it is not needed ? plus there explanation that they change engine oil even after 600kms was too odd for me.!

Sorry to hear about that Torque but today there is hardly ane Honda dealer in Delhi who has a good service experience for its customers. I used to go to Prime for my car's service while she was still in warranty and the experience usually ranged from ok to poor. Its the main reason I shifted to an independent garage where you can be sure about the quality of the work due to the personal attention paid by the workshop owner.

I would've suggested you try another service centre but problem is that there is no service centre nearby to you. If you can do give it a shot at Courtesy Honda's service centre, they're new & supposed to be better than the old hags.

TypeOne,..I think Faithless is right. Honda prescribes oil change only at the second service intervel.

Cheers!

Thanks iraghava, where is courtesy honda service station. Would defintely give it a try, and the indipendent workshop you talked about. Where is he based out off.

Such a pity about the state of affairs. I drive about 500 k's every week on the highways. Del-Corbett route. And my cars been creaking all the way for the pasty trip, and making me go nuts. Need to despertately get whatever's loose fixed.
I know the route is full of bad patches but the car hasn't aged well at all. Its only 11 months old, and done 14 k km. It all shook up and creaks from all joints.

Things are so bad , that I am considering selling off and buying a Palio Adventure or the Sx4 mainly due to the ground clearance and soft roader credentials. Advice please. I need a car comfortable enough for my 5 month old boy, and tough enough to last the worst our roads can throw up at it.

Cheers!

Both are in Okhla, Courtesy is in Okhla Ph-II on the main road before the Skoda dealership.

I personally get my OHC serviced with an independent workshop. They are reasonable as long as you have patience to stand alongside and have a check on job.Car gets better attention and you may save a few bucks too.
For the paint job i think the quote is exorbitant.Traffic in delhi makes you land in these situations easily.I mostly get mine painted at Autopsyche - neat job -better prices.Try a quotes from them too.
