Hey..

Had seen a silver swift in Tokyo last month and it was quite attractrive..

U can chk the specs from this link..but it is the eurpoean specs..and am sure some goodies like the ABS/Airbags/ climate control/ keyless entry ! will be removed in the desi version.

http://www.globalsuzuki.com/swift/specifications.pdf

In bangalore, the showroom guys are reluctant to disclose anything abt the SWIFT and are very optimistic abt the car..to the extent of saying that ppl are ready to pay more than 8Lacs for the car..my left fut!

The pricing on road shud be b/w 4.5(base) to 5.75(top end zxi)..if it has to be practical. Have done the booking today ( 50 K) and Sagar automobiles hav got abt 70+ so far.

The official date as per my info is 27th or 28th of May.

Hope they dont take it further.

yeah, rallying with it (or the baleno) is my original intention- after a few months, of course-maybe we can go rallying together, eh..?? or maybe you can be my navigator for one stage and vice versa for another....oh, and unless i forget- have you bought your new car? is it the corolla? well, congrats on your new ride....

and as for all other speculations on the swift... just wait for another 8 days, guys..i hope i can post the review soon enough...hopefully on the launch date or at least within the next day or so..

by the way, in the new ad for the swift, what in god's name do they intend to tell the public? "your lives will change by midnight.." . what midnight? which day? when?

selective: Nice find there.. they could have given the alloy wheels as optional for the vxi..and the colored mirror cowls and handles could have been given to vxi also. They would'nt have saved much.

The only thing left to come out is the official Ex factory and on-road prices.

I prefer the Red color..it luks gorgeous

The Swift website has a whole new look!!!With lots of extra features including the specs of the car and colour choices, it is a complete information bank on everything one needs to know about the Swift (except the price....god only knows when maruti is going to come up with that....)
Check it out for a refreshing surfing experience...
www.marutiswift.com (now there IS a link from marutiudyog.com as well)

The site is really cool..one of the best sites that i have come across..
Looks like maruti is banking a lot on this new model...

they could have included an yellow shade for the color options.

The only things left are the prices and some reviews ..

err...

beg to differ, but i think the original web-site was extremely average (The one before the latest "upgrade" to the site). The only photos that are good are the international ones in the photo gallery. Close up of the photos when you click on the interiors are pathetic and dark and hardly reveal any detail.

Also i don't know whats with the pre-loading crap. you click for a photograph, can't you just show the image in a popup window. All the pre-loading makes it slower even if you click on it the second time. At least, if they had used a standard popup window, it would pick up the photo quicker from history.

intention not to pour cold water, but comparison with car sites of other car manufacturers really puts things in perspective.

however, the latest site upgrade looks a bit better....still the color picker page sucks. the specifications page is well done.
