All these guys are waiting when to join their respective franchises in ITPL. The world cup semi final match will be forgotten soon

I hope NZ takes the cup this time. Bored of seeing Australia at the top always. The way this match is unfolding, it appears if we were in group A then we might not have been able to reach this stage.

No two thoughts about that. Hands down, he is (or rather was) the best captain we've had.

I wouldn't mind losing it to NZ but these arrogant Aussies need to be taught a lesson! I guess it won't happen now. I only hope they fail again at the hands of NZ.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

Given how the group stages were designed, a Q/F slot was pretty much assured for the big teams unless someone bottled it spectacularly (like England). The first tight game of the tournament and we've nearly finished packing up.

Can Dhoni do it alone? Would be some way to sign off from what's probably his last World Cup.

One person threw his wicket. This gave the opposition the necessary impetus to pluck more wickets. Bad game plan by India.

Yes, but we topped the group. We beat all biggies. The QF was not tight because we did not allow it to become a tight match.

Full marks to the Indian campaign and dare I say, Ravi Shastri

Let's hope Dhoni and Rahane stage a miracle sort of recovery. After this pair, it is Jadeja and the tail.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

Time to start looking for air tickets for tomorrow's Sydney-Mumbai flight!
As soon as the toss was won, it was obvious for me who would win the match.

But credit to Dhoni & the team for getting us this far in the tournament which is commendable since nobody gave us a chance before the tournament began.

One must definitely congratulate the Indian team that have come so far! Without a doubt, Dhoni is the best ever captain the Indian cricket team has ever had! This could potentially be his last World Cup! What a great player!

Why the tributes already? This isn't over, yet.

We are just trying to be practical! All those 6+ feet Aussie bowlers look like giants to our 5+ feet Indian boys! They seem to just improvise with their bouncers. We have no big hitters after Dhoni. So why not tributes already?

I seriously have no complaints to lament about the Indian team. They have performed well in this World Cup than any other World Cup's in the past!

I'm now just eagerly looking forward towards the NZ vs AUS finals and all I want it NZ lift the cup. This would be their first ever chance to do so.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

I tried staying positive.. Its over now.. I really wanted MSD to win his 2nd world cup. Somewhere I knew, the group matches were quite easy. It wasn't India's true test. A match against Australia will test our true mettle and how much worth are we to win the WC.

Looking forward to McCullum and team to lift the cup.
