85 in 60 balls with 6 wickets in hand. Can NZ do it?

It looks like SA are down on morale after that missed run-out chance. Again it will be written that while ABD didn't ran himself out but missed that crucial and easy run-out chance in the SF at the most crucial stage.

Match tilted heavily in favor of NZ now. Scoring at 8.5 RPO for a few overs should not be a problem. They still have 6 wickets intact.

For a team which is in form like NZ, this should be an easy target!

I am now strongly believing that Whatsapp forward stating that the finals would be between IND vs NZ, and the result will be...ummmm.

If NZ win today, they'll have the confidence to go all the way. Not to forget an extra two days to rest and prepare for Sunday's finale.

Very unlikely that NZ will win the finals, whether against India or SA.

It'll not be easy to get out of home conditions and adapt to new ones in a high pressure game

The NZ guys will get just 1 day extra to rest, ie tomorrow.
India's match is tomorrow ? Right ?

Indian boys have been resting for quite some time now to prep for Aussies face off. Once they clear that, NZ will be a cake walk in Finals.

+1 (only with the correction that it is AUS that you meant and not SA
It seems very likely now that NZ will be in finals. And more likely that we will meet them there

Or is it? 5 down now. Anderson is gone. 46 still to get from last 5 overs remaining. The game is still on! What a match...what a fight...Go SA Go!

Edit: Umpires are checking whether the ball touched the drone's wire. Given out finally. It would have been unlucky if it did and the batsman was given not out!

Nope, the day after. The extra day off isn't just about physical rest though, close matches take a toll mentally and extra prep days can make a real difference.

This one's just swung back SA's way, with Anderson out. No matter who wins, this is the best game this tournament so far!

NZ will do it. Just 20 runs in 4 overs. Sounds possible, unless they fall like Indians do !!

Shucks, was looking like NZ will coast there but Ronchi is out. OK me thinks SA will go into the finals.

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

This is by far the best match ever in this tournament! It should be damn easy for NZ to finish this off in their favor! Why don't rain come now and stop the game to make SA into the finals?

Re: Cricket: The World Cup 2015 Thread

NZ are digging a hole for themselves now. From a relatively easy position to this: 23 needed of 11.
Now 12 of last 6. Amazing match this one! In fact, 11 runs to sail through.
