Song/s that have made an emotional impact

For most of them, there will be an emotional impact on listening to some particular songs. please, do list them (first line of the lyrics)

For me it's:

'Chittuku chella Chittuku oru siragu mulaithathu' Sung by Jesudas from Tamil Movie "Nallavanukku Nalavan"

Here are my personal favourites -

'' Main Jahaan Rahoon Main Kahin bhi Hoon Teri Yaad ... '' - Namaste London

'' Yeh jo Des hai Mera, Swades hai Tera .. '' - Swades

'' Luka Chupi, Bahut hui, Saamne aa jaa na ... '' - Rang De Basanti

'' An Evening in Roma ... '' Dean Martin / Sinnatra

'' Tujhse Naraaz nahin Zindagi hairan hoon main .. '' - Massom ( Old )

I think that will be it - not many english songs make me emotional / sentimental but yeah the above ones are quite nice and really feel you !!

Lots of great songs on my list, but, my personal favourite would be "The Tracks of my Tears" by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.

1. Words - "There's a place up ahead and I'm goin' just as fast as my feet can fly
Come away, come away if you're goin', leave the sinkin' ship behind."
Song - Up Around the Bend
Artist - Creedence Clearwater Revival (Cosmic Factory)
Reason - The first song played in our Vtec as i drove it out of the showroom.

2. Words - "(You get your head down, will you)
I
I want you
I want you to
I want you to march
Eyes go right, shoulder arms
Left wheel turn, show your charms
Change your clothes, cut your hair
Ain't no joke, ain't no place for kids
When the flags are high, hear the battle cry
Treaty gone, see the bandit fly
Dig that trench, watch the blast
Shell shock come, coming fast
Name and rank on parade
Might get laid by a hand grenade
Do you know what this means?
Do you know what this means?
This - means - war
This means war, this means war
I said this means war, this means war
This means war"
Song - This means war
Artist - AC/DC
Reason - This was the song playing in the car when i hit 195kmph for the first time in the Vtec.

3. Words - "When you’re on a holiday
You can’t find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I wanna feel it too

On an island in the sun
We’ll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can’t control my brain"
Song - Island in the Sun
Artist - Weezer
Reason - Usually listen to it when i go on long solo drives.

"dheere dheere pyar ko badhana hai" lyrics don't make much sense but it reminds me of my teen years and the accompanying fun in hostel.

EDIT: and songs from "saajan", "sadak"....gosh crappy songs, but immedietaly take me back in those years.

"he will make producer sad by not writing( in time) and people by writing the songs"

DITTO! I used to listen a LOT to these songs (and other similar ones that came out then) back when I was in school, and when I hear these songs anywhere, all the good memories come rushing back.

Song: Hanging by a moment
Artist: Lifehouse

Desperate for changing
Starving for truth
Closer to where I started
Chasing after you

I'm falling even more in love with you
Letting go of all I've held onto
I'm standing here until you make me move
I'm Hanging by a moment here with you

Forgetting all I'm lacking
Completely incomplete
I'll take your invitation
You take all of me now

I'm falling even more in love with you
Letting go of all I've held onto
I'm standing here until you make me move
I'm hanging by a moment here with you

I'm living for the only thing I know
I'm running and not quite sure where to go
And I don't know what I'm diving into
Just hanging by a moment here with you.............
