It is good to see you active on this forum again, Nandish.

How did you acquire the monoblocks for W140 ? Is there any interesting story behind it ?

Seriously dude, those monoblocks make a world of difference how the car looks! Same question here, how did you get them and what was the tyre make/size you put in?

Re: My first gift to myself for the new year's eve! A Mercedes W126..

Thanks Ravindra M.
The monoblocks on the w140 were sourced from a tbhpian from Delhi.
18" staggerred 8.5 & 9.5 J.
The tyres on the 140 are 245 45 18 pirelli's.
The monoblocks on the w124 were a sheer luck, somebody from chennai had it on his w203,it was fitted from the dealership as an extra accessory.
while he sold his w203 he had removed the wheels. I was lucky to find them in almost new condition.17 " 7.5 all round.

Re: My first gift to myself for the new year's eve! A Mercedes W126..

Hello,

I am based at Mysore, Karnataka, and interested in buying a W126. Will you please advise me on your ownership experience, and how you manage to get the car serviced/maintained? Are spare parts (headlights, bumpers, ORVMs) available?

I will be buying this car only for occasional use so the actual running will be quite minimal. It will be more of a museum piece, as I will be displaying it with my scale model collection of Mercedes-Benz cars in a dedicated building.

I will be happy to hear from you at your earliest convenience.

Many thanks.

Neil D'Costa.
