What?

You guys are planning for the next week. C'mon, please give me a break. Suggest you keep the meet in the first week of Jan after new year hangover is finished.

Not done at all I suggested the beach meet "Kelwa Beach" to be exact which is 2 hours drive from Thane...

8th Jan i got my company's training session (One day picnic for us) and then I got my 5th sem exams from 19th to 28th Jan

So I can join only in last weekend of Jan or anything after that

Can't we have meet on 29th Jan or 30th Jan

This will be my 1st meet so will not like to take a lead on above (May be next time).

Other members like @ghodlur, @hvk, @mx6 can take a lead.

@mx6: i think you can let your plans know and further plans can be made around the same as you will be travelling from Pune.

MX6 doesn't plan so much in advance!

Jokes apart, go ahead with your plans people. There's outside chance that I'd make it. If I'm in Pune on 9th, I'll come there for the meet/ lunch.

Regarding the venue, can't we drive somewhere south instead of going up north?
I feel that NH17 is always a better drive than a drive up north on the western expressway.
Any beach from Alibaug till Ganapatipule is fine with me.

What say Thane-kars (or do I say Thanedars)

You know me. For drives under 500 kms, I don't plan. So it's too far ahead to predict/ plan. Let this meet gain momentum. I'd be in a better position to confirm after Jan 4th or 5th.

HVK saar. Please take lead in suggesting options for a drive. But a Beach it would be as that seems to be the flavour of the season! Then people can probably vote and freeze the place.

Jan 9th looks a good date, but good idea to go down south instead of north, maybe to a beach like Kashid which is also convenient for our Pune friends. Kashid would also be a 2-3 hour drive from Thane, and compared to NH8, less congested (nowadays, NH8 seems to be terribly choked up with traffic).
