I recently got Michelin Xm1 Energy's for my lancer. I got 14" alloys though.

you can look for bridgestone for your car. they are equally good.

if you want super quite tyres and good grip and cheap then go for yokohamas "c drive" 185/60/R14. cost 2600 each approx. if on tight budget take swift oem wheels( 5 you will get for 2000 or less from the alloy wheel shops) and install 185/60 or 65/R14s. i am using them. go for official ones

gigy thank you for replying but i didnot get one thing,do you want me to get the rims of the swift or the tyres , and dont these yoko c drives come in 13 inch size.

Yokohama C drive is available in 14" and above

hey guys today i went to a bridgestone dealer regarding the s322 and he said tht the new ones cost 3400 and after discount they are 2940.and he also checked the tyres and said of them have 60% of rubber remaining. so my dad wants to take 2 new of them and place in the front and the best 2 among those 3 old ones in the rear .so wht do u say guys?

Sankeerth,Ur Dad's plan is good considering ur budget.
Buttt,3400 for Bridgestone S322 is daylight robbery!
Get 2 Michelin tires of the same size for 2600 bucks just like E_L recommended.Dont go for those BS(Bridgestones)!

but nitrous according to a thread , i saw tht all the tyres should be of the same tread pattern or same make,else the ride may effect.and do you think the new tyres should be placed in the front.and also the person is willing to give them at 2950,jow much do you think should be a reasonable price for s322 tube tyres?

Could be. It is also possible, as suggested by esteem_lover, that your tyres are old and the rubber has degraded. But as per your original post:

i got a puncture in the RHS rear tyre and i dint notice in tht 110 km speed and after running for around 2 or 3 km i noticed my car to be sluggish and when i dropped the window i smelled that some rubber was burning.so i stopped and saw tht my tyre was torn.

I am wondering why you should be surprised that the tyre got torn -- after all you ran 2-3 kms with a flat tyre and at 100 kmph+. The tyre would have heated up severely. I suspect any tyre will get torn under those conditions and further you should check your rim for possible bends/damage. If you are going for new tubeless tyres, you should make sure your rims are free from bends/rusting (assuming they are stock steel rims) -- check with the tyre shop. Best to have your alignment checked and wheel balancing done again after fitting new tyres.

I agree with Nitrous that S322's at 2950 is nothing but robbery. You would be much much better off getting the Michelin's for 2600.


S322's ideal price should not be more than 2500-odd rupees.

As for the tread issues if you're not a very fast driver then one design on the front axle & one on the rear should serve you perfectly well.

I got 5 brand-new tubeless S322 tyres (155/70 R 13) for something like Rs 11200/- last September. For larger size and with tubes the cost should be higher plus Bridgestone might have introduced a newer improved version. The tubeless tyres I have are very good, at least for my Santro -- have done about 10000 kms till date without any problems.

I used to buy the same for 2300/- each but that was some time back. Infact just bought B350 tubelesses for my mother's car & they costed me around 2650-odd for 165/65 R13. So I see no reason why S322's are for 2950.

Also the S322 has not undergone any improvement or change since it's introduction. Atleast neither the dealers nor the engineers have been informed about it.

also i wanted to ask can i mix tubeless with tube tyres in a car?

raghava regarding speed i drive around 110-120kmph so does the pattern matter at tht speed.and also i wanted to know where should the new tyres be placed in the front or rear or diagonally or any other direction.

Like I said earlier similar pattern on one axle basically what that means is that keep the tyres with the same design together. Just as an example if you're keeping 2 Good Year's & 2 Bridgestone's then keep one pair on the front left & right and keep the other pair on the rear left & right. Hope this is clear.

As for the new tyres I would recommend you keep both on the front wheels since your car is a FWD.
