Go for 195/60R14 then. Your car will ride about 5mm taller then which means your speedo will report slightly less speed. I think it will compensate for the speedo error. But it may give an illusion of slightly less mileage. For example if you travel 100kms, your odo may report 99 or 98.5

Not a big deal.

Hey Ice.

Thanx alot. Its nothing like that i dont like the yokos. Ill check them out since you and samurai are saying that they are real good. But will the yokos be soft compund ones like the Ventus or silvertones. Are the silverstones available here in India. Which model yokos do you recommend. I think the best upsize would be 195.60.14s Whats your opinion. Hey Samurai i will check out the Yokos. Hey TSK thanx alot buddy for the info i think 195s will just be fine. 205s will be too up a size. Well riding 5mm higher wont afffect the aeros of the car i hope. As i have noticed this car to highly aerodynamic. Bumper got displaced very slightly. Not even noticeble. I could feel the car not runing well. Its only when i replaced the bumper it ran the way it did when it came from the showroom

how long will soft component tires usually under normal driving conditions last. I think OEM hard components last for 40k with me. Any ideas on the pricing of silver stone and yokohamas?? you know they might be out of my budget..

Hey Bhpians,

Just decided that tyres should be long lasting as planing not to keep car for long so i guess now that soft compunds are out. Now i guess i am going for either the GIIIs or the GSD2. Just help me with what size should i go in for?

195 is more then enuf for the new city. 205 will give excellent grip but ur mileage and drive will be draggy.

Do you know what the thread wear number is for the Yokos and the Silverstone? That will give you an indication of thread life. They should be written in small print on the sidewall? Its usually a number between 150 and 400. My Michelin Pilots are 220..fairly sticky.
