Rumour: Bajaj CS 400 to be named Dominar 400

Bajaj will be launching the production version of the CS 400 concept in the coming months. It was previously reported that the bike, which was expected to adorn the Pulsar 400 brand name, will come under a new brand - Kratos 400. However, recent media reports suggest that the automaker has again rebranded the upcoming bike, which will now likely be called the Bajaj Dominar 400. Another alphabet might find its place before the 400 tag, however, it won't be 'VS' or 'CS' as was rumoured earlier.

'Dominar' in Spanish means 'master'. Since the bike will be Bajaj's new flagship offering, the automaker appears to be trying to give it a worthy nameplate.

Powering the Dominar 400 will be a 373 cc engine, similar to the one offered with the KTM Duke 390, which will feature Bajaj's patented triple-spark technology and will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is expected to be capable of developing around 35 BHP of power.

Once launched, the Dominar 400 will be aimed at touring enthusiasts of the country and will be up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Mahindra Mojo.
