Tata Hexa prices might start from Rs. 12.30 lakh

Prices of the Tata Hexa SUV might start from Rs. 12.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This information was leaked through the Hexa's official website, which mentioned 'Price starts at Rs. 12.30 lakhs' under the Test Drive tab. However, the automaker has now changed the text on the webpage. Final variant-wise prices will be revealed at the Hexa's official launch, which is scheduled for January 18, 2017.

Once launched, the Hexa will be Tata Motors' new flagship offering. It will be available in 7-seater as well as 6-seater layout. Tata Motors will be placing the Hexa against the Mahindra XUV500 and the Toyota Innova Crysta.

Powering the Hexa is a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine that develops 154 BHP and 400 Nm of torque, while being mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The entry-level XE variant gets the 2.2-litre diesel engine with a lower output - 148 BHP & 320 Nm, while being mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
