Thank you for your kind concern. My son is better now and my wife and Prabhu continue tremendous pressure on me to go for Bangalore OTR. It is about 10am now which means I will not be able to meet the 4 pm rendezvous deadline at Nice road if I do it in the Lynx.

Option is hop along in the HT Thar, since the Lynx is not with me the only reason for me to come to the OTR is to meet my so many brothers and friends.

Hope to make it and thank you Rajit, Dwarak and Sharat.

Now you have got me going.

I am coming in the Lynx but will not be able to hit the rendezvous point on time. There are enough friends to pull me through.

My run at this event has come to an early end with a burnt Gypsy clutch. I was using a clutch that had been through a few AKC, EXAMM and Mahape OTR recces and then the recces and actual Palar Challenge. I had burnt it mildly at TPC during a long climb where I was in the wrong gear and had to clutch-de-clutch to avoid bogging down right at the end of the climb.

Didn't think much of it until now...gave up completely going up a reasonable incline from standstill. No chance to build momentum and it just smoked up. Had enough bite to get me out of the trail and I drove back 100 or so KMs to get back home on my own power but towards the end as I drove into my garage, the smell was quite strong.

Sigh...what an awesome trail. Severe on the vehicle and people inside because you are CONSTANTLY driving over rocks and boulders and in my stiffened Gypsy it really was a washing machine inside...

I only did about 75% of the Trail labelled "1" and I heard trails 2 and 3 were even more exciting so I am terribly disappointed to miss out.

The sleeping arrangements were adequate, toilets were clean because nobody wanted to use them assuming they would be dirty Food was tasty without getting too oily or complicated.

Chilled out atmosphere which only the chilled out BODA team can organize. See you next year...with a new clutch!
