Since we are going towards Lonavla, I suggest we meet under the flyover near Sadanand Hotel/VITS. Will be a little more convenient for folks from Aundh/Baner and avoid having to go in the opposite direction to CC. Folks joining from Wakad/HJ can catch up with the rest of the gang at the Sayaji flyover 5 min later

We need to decide the departure time. Earlier the better, of course.. I am going to spend a sleepless night of excitement anyway!

I know its going to be hot afternoon, but we wont be able to avoid that much. Given that its a Sunday / Funday. Lets not hurry up too much.

Plan A :Assemble at meeting point in Pune at 7.30am, Regroup at RK's for breakfast at around 9am and then head for Rajmachi at 10am. around 3 hours of soft roading, and then nice lunch and back to home. What say guys?

Plan B : Assemble at meeting point in Pune at 6am, Regroup at RK's for Chai at around 7am and then head for Rajmachi at 7.30am. around 3 hours of soft roading, breakfast at Rajmachi, only poha. And then back to home.

I support plan B - 6 am is good. And remember, we are all getting lots of food items, so include lots of breaks for munching at Rajmachi too

I'm getting jinxed here, my truck got bruised yesterday (in Thane) on my return trip from Baroda (damn those rickshaws) and now I may not have the car on the Sunday too..

By the way, if I do join, I shall need two seats (one for myself and one for my better half, my other half could be parked somewhere). I am mainly joining for three reasons:
1. To meet some more TBHP members
2. To know what offroading is all about, firsthand
3. MIMP: Take photos

Since I expect the track/area to be covered to be quite large, I would need someone to give me a ride from one 'obstacle' to the next.

Thats sad to hear mate! How big is the scratch? Something that you can live with, or that needs to be attended immediately?

Monaro, really look forward to your Fort making it for the trip, yaar... will be such a shame without it. But either way, please do join with your plan B!

Have fun guys. I have a family commitment else i would have confirmed too. Lets see, who knows? one thing im skeptical about is the place, i.e. Lonavala. On a Sunday it is disastrous to get to, with the winter almost gone or should i say prolonged, i think there will be a Uber-Rush of people in Lonavala. To top that doing Rajmachi with so may Jeeps/Vehicles is not a good idea at all. Not trying to play spoil sport but i dont want to say, "I told u that" too.

I would not do Rajmachi with so many vehicles especially on a Sunday. Locals, goons and of course cops will be hounding the place for their pound of flesh unless you have already made arrangements.

Please be careful is all i can say and if still there is time, change your venue. Rajmachi should be done with max 5 vehicles. I would not involve more vehicles.

Regret to inform you that I'm dropping out.
Official reason - something's come up on the professional front that needs some quick attention. May need to travel out or be on standby.

Real reason/s:
- Chickening out from the Endeavour - Fortuner shoot out. And what's the point - what with Siddhesh already having concluded on the outcome...
- Worried about the cosmetic rearrangements on the old boy.
- Scared about exposing - my poor 4X4 skills !

But next time around - a solemn promise to be there...
