Where do you find snow when the plains are sweltering in 40 degree C heat. Well Rohtang of course.

This journey was different. Rohtang was still closed, with the bulldozers clearing snow inch by inch. Up at the top, if was trecherous with deep pits, and soft freshly cleared snow.
Except for one scary incident when one wheel decided to get suspended in air, with the others on slippery ice, it was more or less a cakewalk, or should I saw, a snow-walk?

For once the weight of the safari worked in her favor, and the AT tires also helped. Where the road tyred gypsy had to be pushed out, she made it out on her own grunt.

Super uber cold pictures, Safari 4wd does prove itself as a fantastic tourer. Gotta do this once, Rhotang before opening!

planning to transport my Safari 4*4 till delhi from Bangalore and then take this trail ( manali to leh ; will cover rohtang pass) sometimes in July - Aug. How would it be as it would be my first in North..
