Hello TBHpians,

The Chennai JEEPers are going for an Night OTR to Kelambakkam on 13-06-09

Before that we will assemble at IGNITE at ECR for some 4x4 discussions & Videos.

Itinerary (13-06-09)

1100-1300 - garage meet @ IGNITE (adjacent to Mermaid Swimming Pool)
1300-1400 - Lunch
1530 - Assemble at Kelambakkam for the OTR.

All members are cordially invited.

Hi Guys,

We all met up at Raghav's garage IGNITE and did a photo shoot for some local dailies.

At 1630 we proceeded towards Kelambakkam Quarry.

On arrival we were rudely shocked as the Locals (Local Politician) suggested we don't go to the quarry as, in the last 2 months 2 people were murdered and the bodies were thrown into the quarries. (This was out in the newspapers)

It was getting late so we informed the other group of JEEPers who were taking the road to Kelambakkam, not to go any further.

We met up at another smaller quarry,and then went back to town for dinner.

That must have been very disappointing, Arka. Does this mean we will not be able to use this quarry at all?

Gosh, I am shocked to hear this, after all this quarry is my alma matar. Hope the situation gets cleared up soon.

Hello guys,
It was long since we had gone offroad after 15th of August and a bunch of enthusiasts came up with an idea to exploit long weekend and by popular choice friday october 2nd 09 was the choosen date. The off road was scheduled for just half a day as Chennai is still hot. On october 2nd we as usual met at Harish hotel at 2.00 p.m and about 8-9 4wd's joined. We decided to explore thiruporur section a bit more. To our good luck weather was awsome (overcast) but we werent lucky to have rain. We did some mud pits, power sliding etc. All in all a short and crisp trip which was fun. Nothing much to write..enjoy few pics that i have

p.s- Credit to the best pics goes to Vivek and Kartik, the O.K ones are mine
