Rhandle = Rahul
Ms. Rhandle = Anu.

To get TLC back to it's feet was simple and got done in 5 minutes by simple man power. A strap was tied on the C-pillar and it was pulled up. Initially we tried to push it back from the other side but then the vehicle started to slip.

My wife had some fun with small climbs and son driving Gurkha. Next time guess we need something more challenging.

All the vehicles were perfect and everyone completed the obstacles. I am sure all would have completed the entire NIOC course also we a Jeep with winch, One Prado and one TLC besides Ford endeavor and Gurkha with enough tow straps. The only thing we should have avoided would have been the slush Part and it would have been real fun.!

@svsantosh: The reversing test was more to see how well people are able to reverse down a trail with out looking back and only using the outer mirrors. About 80% failed to stick to the trail / track they had taken while going forward and this when only hardship was a downhill small right bend with few rocks and a thorn tree.
The reason why you should be able to do this if trail blazing is that on new trails you can come to positions where you can not simply go forward and may have to reverse substantial distances.
This, with other abilities lets you enjoy doing trailing rather than being always in fear of not being able to make it and thinking of negatives. My suggestions to all 4x4 explorers - learn this trick by trying practising in parking lots or where ever you can.

@Rhandle: Anu did great by stepping up and doing the reversing. This led to Maninder and Antra to also give it a shot.

Nice trail perfectly suitable for SUV's. It is still a mystery to me how could the driver overturn a TLC. May be he was too fast. Else it is easy to stop on time at alarming tilt levels. Plus TLC's come with maximum lean angle indicator on dash board. Any way this was a sheer case of misjudgement. Some times too wide a SUV is also a pain.

Let the pics keep rolling.

Shobit posted this picture of the Pajero doing the down hill obstacles. The Honda CRV was just ahead of him in clearing the same area.

@Rhandle: Not the coming weekend but have an outline of plan for a full day trip or over night outing. Later the climate will also be not that warm.

Great going Sudev and all members. This was a much needed group, one can go out with family in comfort of their SUVs and find full potential without risk of damage.

Seems you all had great fun there. It seems a well organized and disciplined group.. We want to see more pics. I see in a pic that there is a photographer with tripod, where are his pics?

As for the trail, I have done it with NIOC and feel it is on the higher side of difficulty level for SUVs, specially if you have a 4x2 SUV. I would suggest for the first few gatherings to keep a simpler trail as you have a large number of participants (which will only grow with time) and many of them are first timers. (just a suggestion).

Hope to join you guys on long trips. How about Pushkar coming weekend?

Pictures posted by Philip and JD on their facebook link at Login | Facebook

This picture shows the steep ness of the trail and the rocky surface that needed to be tackled with utmost care. Evry one went in with 4Low mode.

So many GVs in one meet, must be a record. Did anyone get the 2.4L GV?
