The first three are of the same jeep that runs an eicher air intake suitably modified.

First model is from Dr. Jai's(Jeep Thrill) Prowler jeep. I think it is an Eitcher Snorkel. Second model looks like that from NIOC mods Laxman's jee's MM550, an imported safari Snorkel.

sadiq.

Yeah, looks like. The hose below the T shaped thing on an Eisher truck is a very thick diameter. It may be usable like that but it would look funny. Not as funny as a piece of plastic plumbing pipe, though.

About those Eicher trucks...you notice how high those snorkels are? Must be for the Mariana Trench route.

wont it be better to buy a snorkle from eicher which can be fitted to the jeep of your choice?

or

has anyone seen a beautifull snorkle as standard OE fittment in Gurkha? i think its much better than the eicher!

I had called up the Force Motors folks and they quoted a price of ~22K for that snorkel.

But yes, it looks great.

BTW, a snorkel is under plans for my Gypsy. Can share the design that I have in mind if you want.

Here is how the 'snorkel' on my Gypsy would look like. I had collected these pictures/details after much of hard work on the internet.

More details can be found here: DIY snorkel for the Zuk

Now the issue is -- where to get hold of this:

Snorkel for my 4x4-arb_snorkel.jpg

Rest of the plumbing/piping can be easily managed.

The way I would have it is, that a GREEN Storm Air filter would go in place of the stock one and the 'Dynamization kit' of the same would extend into the snorkel.

Cheers,

thats a very nice find khan saab, i think thats the best made snorkle on this forum.

the top part of the snorkle has to be made by hit and trial methods, since you cant get it in india!

Shahnawaz,
You can buy a snorkel head separately too!!
A lot of vendors sell them. Here's one:
Safari 3” Air Ram - Snorkel Accessories - Snorkels - 4x4 Store Australia

Cheers

@gotzuk, I meant where in India to get the Snorkel Head. If all fails, would have to get it from abroad -- the final destination for sourcing stuff :-)

'An angel' here in Bangalore has volunteered to help design & fabricate the Snorkel Head in Fiber Glass. Will be working with that 'angel' aftet I come back from Munnar.

Cheers,
