As yours is a electric shift transfer case you will need to take it to an authorized service center. The ECU is either located under the co-drivers seat or under the IP (instrument Panel). A service connector is provided to indicate the fault codes in Binary. For e.g. a code of 001 means fault with ECM module, 010 means shift motor and so on. Please let me know the exact symptoms i will guide you accordingly.

Note- Before replacing any malfunctioning parts please checks for the connectors and wiring harness.
thanks for the intrest shown in my problem. i had taken the veh to a reg service station, but they cant make out heads and tails of it

Re: Bolero 4x4 - ECM Problem

White mm550, is your problem with the electric ECM resolved ? My Armada Grand (1999) is throwing similar problem. The 4WD/2WD lights blink and disappear during ignition (as standard); but when i change the knob to 4WH/L no lights blink nor 4WD is engaged.
Regards

I'm unable to send you a PM; Here is my number 09880677111. when the motor was connected to a TATA Xenon, it worked fine. Problem is narrowed down to ECU. Want to keep the manual conversion as last option.

Re: Bolero 4x4 - ECM Problem

HELLOOO!

I know I am responding to a nearly three year old post, but I am in a similar predicament with my Bolero GLX. So what became of Whitemm's Bolero? Was the problem resolved?
Anyone listening?

- Jai
