Sorry cant pm you. |
Never bought it. Bought only the chassis and suspension.
Some more pics of my handbrake and gear lever and 4wd lever console
My door work is almost over with Ford pickup outer locks and sumo inner locks with central locking.
Work in progress!!! The hand brake assembly being enclosed.
My door frame being redone after the fitting of modern locks and power windows.
The power window mechanism is that of a Suzuki Swift and the glass will be a tailor made single piece, eliminating the quarter glass.
A few more of the door inner side.

Your patience and attention to detail is awe inspiring. I have been following this thread from day one and cant wait to see the final product rolling out.
Please make it soon, I know you have immense patience but most of the followers here including me are at the end of theirs.
The outside door handle is brilliant but the puny lock sticks out like a sore thumb. How about doing away with it and using only keyless entry
How do you plan to rust proof the door panels from inside with so much welding being done. Please consider dipping it in primer or leaving pilot holes to spray in the primer for longevity.
cheers

I literally poured primer into the door frame to inhibit rust formation. Hope it works.
Some pics of the primer flooded door.
My refinished mudguard flares.
Does this look better?
The Willys touch with the original monogram.
The front bumper looks like a macho moustache. And yes, the refinished fenders look so much better - did you just fill up the holes with errr....filler?
Filled the bolt holes with m-seal and Araldite and finished with bondo.
Jyobeb, Thank you so much for the wonderful thread. I have learnt a lot by just following this thread. Waiting for the completed beauty.
Checked your thread after long, your build is shaping up amazingly well.
I want to make one suggestion. Add a number plate grove and also fir a Bolero or if possible Pajero Number Plate Light attachment while the work is on. It will look nice. :)
Awesome project Joydeb but somehow the jerry can and manual jack look a bit out of place on this classic body.
I'm curious what you are going to register this vehicle with the RTO and Insurance company as? Wanna shed some light.....
