Bolero Rear Axle: FFRA or SFRA

Bolero pickup (non flat bed) and camper come with FFRA or SFRA. May be at the manufacturing stage they fit what ever is available.

But the following is true AFAIK.

1. All Bolero Passenger vehicle (Five door) come with FFRA only.
2. All Bolero Invader come with SFRA only.
3. All Bolero pickups with flat bed loading area come with SFRA only. Flat bed pickups have SPOA setup at the rear.
4. Non flat bed bolero pickups and camper come with either FFRA or SFRA.

SFRA come with 30spline axle shafts and FFRA come with 19spline axle shafts. Also note that it is much easier to get Diff locks for 30 spline axles.

Regards,

Vinshad Aziz

Slightly off topic query. But, how much should you pay at max. for a decent condition 4x4 Invader (2006 model) with AC. Can someone advise if there would be any big issues owning it in Kolkata (Metro), like Registration Transfer (BS2), spares, maintenance, etc.?
Also, how do I check whether it's 4 WD mechanism is in order? I have seen the vehicle checklists in other sections, but nothing about how to verify the 4 WD state... Please help.

Infractions: 0/1 (5)

BSIII/IV norms have killed the Invader/Major. I spoke to a dealer last month and he told me not to buy as it cannot be registered from this month.

The advent of motorized 4-wheelers killed bullock carts but here I would say Invader/Major died their own death because everyone knew BS3/4 were coming.

BS3/4 norms came as a blessing for consumers, nothing can beat the environmental cause but also many ageing cars received updates which included increasing power, new engines, etc. in some.
