I think you're preaching to the choir a bit here as far as remote area exploration goes, and that is even though I agree with most of the things you said. Let's keep the discussion to the vehicle here and leave that to another time and place..

Let's say you had 2-3 identically prepared Bolero+ or Campers, and intend to take them through the worst of terrain the subcontinent and SE Asia has on offer. What would you do to those vehicles other than the things I already listed in Post 67 of this thread?

Could someone please point me towards the part numbers required for 47/11 [4.27:1] Crown-Pinion set and differential carrier type compatible with the Bolero front and rear differentials?

I am planning to change the drive ratio from 3.73:1 to 4.27:1, as I have changed the tyre size from stock 215/75/R15 HT to 235/75/R15 AT in my 4WD Bolero.

I don't know the part numbers. You may have to talk to Mahindra about that. I did something like this ten years ago to a similar Invader. The larger differential definitely takes a larger and different carrier than the 3:73. I put 4:88s in my Invader and I was VERY happy with that change, running 235/75/R16 tyres.

Thanks to Arka and Dirty Dan for valuable inputs.

Finally, got all the required parts and work was completed.

1. 3.92 & up Differential Case.

2. 43/10 Crown Pinion set with 4.3:1 ratio.

The results were amazing, the vehicle now remains in the power band and just pulls like crazy on the inclines !
