@Rahul
I tried to make some calls but nothing has turned out yet. But as bhp1 mentioned he might be able to give you some more info.

@bhp1
That is great news bhp1. I hope we are talking about the same guy. Well I guess as long as the parts are good we dont care
it will be great if you can pass on some more details to me and Rahul. Rahul can put them to good use right away. Hopefully I will put them to good use soon enough

mmmm. so you have new wheels & tyres. Look good and the jeep looks 'rough & ruffian' -- in a nice way.

So what's the wheels/tyres, their cost and your initial driving impressions?

Hi Khan, rims are 10jjx15 and tyres are 31x11xR15, but not expensive as all are second hand. I couldn’t go and spend for new ones coz I am facing strong resistance from family for spending on Jeep, they think I will sell it soon after my hangover is over.. and think its jeep 'bhoot' which will go away.. :( )

Initial expression: They were just bolt and go. Does not touch any were even on full turns.. had to remove plastic fenders as were hitting them.. Steering has become hard, feel that mankind never invented wheel balancing and alignment, noise on tarmac.. more speed on low rev, better GC, more width-better ride and excellent on offroad.. In my 1 hour offroad test I found that these are very good on sand, rock, solid dry mud climbs, dont have to rev high to climb. A big difference from my earlier 78-R15.

Ym-enjn, nice shoes you got there for you jeep! It has given it a much more macho look. Other than the improvements you mentioned! how about the fuel efficiency? has it come down? When I changed the wheels on my zen from 165 to 205 i felt that the efficiency went down.

Dr Jones nice prowler and you managed to get it stuck even more nicely!

@BJB: I can't comment upon FE, infact in offroad it would be unjustice to count that.. yes one point I would like to mention is that due to bigger wheels speed has increased for same engine RPM.

@Ym-enjn: I agree with you that it would not be fair to judge the FE while off roading

The other thing i personally felt is that with the broader tyres and no power steering it becomes a lot more harder to turn the steering wheel I felt like the truck waals from my childhood who had old trucks without power steerings and they would rock the truck back and forth to help in turning the steering but once the gets rolling it is all good.

testdrive, your jeep looks great, but I see a real cool 4X4 parked next to it.

Absolutely right there.. it is impossible to turn wheels while the vehicle is standing.. Almost equal to one set of workout for biceps and triceps each time..

Here are some pics of my Cj3bs stablemate, a CJ3A. This belongs to my younger brother Danish. he is unable to register on team BHP till date due to some technical glitch.

Enjoy the pics, this one is a real classic beauty, restored with great care to perfection. Engine is an original Go- Devil sidevalve Petrol Engine.
