Indian Isuzu petrol in NA, though MPFI version is available. Gearbox it has 5 speed but gearings are not really suited for 4x4 vehicle, so generally the gearbox is chucked out. Also 4x4 conversion of that gear box is a very tricky affair as far as i know.

updated pics

here is how she looks now

few things i dont like
have tried a blue strip on the wheels , going to go for a yellow wheel stripe
thinking of changing the bumper light rack to something more angular, this seems a bit to squared for my liking..might change the four lights to three as a result
three big ones compared to two and two
else quite happy with her
no engine yet though
any drawbacks please let me know

I didn't understand this part. Sorry if I'm sounding dumb.
What exactly is a strip on the wheel?

I think he meant wheel stripes similar to this:

It does enhance the looks!

Awesome, simply awesome! Love the colour Blue/Black topping my list too! Looks devilish, not liking the excessive lights tho al, the pipe section on the bumper goes with the square body, keep it!

give us a few more shots man, one just aint enough!

hey, it definitely looks gorgeous now. The suspense is still on about the motor. so, its going to remain a 2 seater eh.
The bumpers look good. do you plan to put a winch on it?
I know its a bit too late but I'd have suggested chopping off the rear body a bit similar to khan_sultan's SPOA gypsy.
are you planning on doing OTR's on this gypsy?

I saw your oranjie on autocar show while on a kingfisher flight. it looked fabulous.

Supar gypsy! Looks like someone likes to LIGHT the whole world while driving. Give us some more shots of her. And I pray you get the requisite engine soon, so we can enjoy her offroading pics.

Looks fantastic! Well... drawbacks?- Make it a SPOA. Those huge wheels deserve it. Shackle extension doesnt quiet help.

One word AWESOME! Overall the gypsy looks real 'tight' as old man says Congratz and best wishes in finding The engine.

Killer. .

I am speechless. The blue and black combo has come out so well. She look so menacing even in the incomplete stage.

Beautiful. Its my all time favorite color combination - Metallic blue paint and black wheels. The lights look a wee bit excessive though. I know you have a fetish for lights but 10 of them?? I would definitely experiment with remodeling the light rack to make it gel more with the body and in the process, lose a couple of lights.

Otherwise, as usual for anything that comes out of your stable, you have a gift for redoing 4X4s my friend!

Allan, the Gypsy looks killer and a perfect city ride. The blue color looks very very nice on the Gypsy. Did you try the door handles in black color? I think they would ad more contrast to the side view.

As always, a quality product from your stable.

PS: Which are those Rear View mirrors and how are they attached?
