but in my opinion lights are more than required... Just get good xenons and it will solve the purpose..

convert some dashboard parts to carbon fiber it would look awesome and will add to sportyness will cost roughly 5-6k for complete dashboard
i know there are a lot oflights but then again,
i have a major fetish for lights, check my other vehicles as well
besides for me also honestly its free marketing for these lights which i sell

no carbon fibre for me, not personally inclined towards it,
personal choice

@xtreme power, Great restoration pics and great pace. Honestly dude, at the rate you and your team complete the restoration project, Your workshop is gonna witness a huge queue of customers.

For the engine, have you tried contacting Viper(Jignesh) from Viper performance. He may have links to source the engine.

Hi Allan

What are you doing wirth the dash? just restoring it or is somehting planned there as well. One thing I find very irritating about the Gypsy dash is that when you run the Air-con the vents dont spread the air very well. Maybe your guys can desing better rotating center pieces for the vent holes.

Cheers
Ankit

lights , lights all over...
hope that you are going to have extra battery & a powerful alternator also.

The ARB stlye winch bumper is kool. If you could add similar theme to the rear bumper also, it will be a pretty. ( Iam telling this from aesthetic point )

regarding the dashboard, for God's sake please dont paint it with normal pain, even in matt finish. It will start to crack & peel.

Nice choice of paint.

yes definitely a better alternator
since im not shortening the rear overhang wanted to go for a slim bumper
hence the design,
anything more bulkier and i'd be hitting it all over the place while offroading

Engine Transplant

Hi Allan,

Why don't you consider the 1.8L Isuzu with Gear-Box (used in the Contessa & Amby). Its easier to fit that converting a 1.6 Baleno to mate with a Gypsy Gearbox.

Advantages
1) Cheap Engine & gearbox, easily available.
2) MPFI & Carburettor options
3) Lots of after market support.

Regards,

Arka

my other spoa'd gypsy project is running this setup

for my personal car i backed away from this option
two reasons
1. lesser bhp figures, and i really need that power
2. the isuzu will be about 30kgs heavier then the 1.6 so for my stlye of driving lots of understeer

but for the serious spoa'd project this engine installation is already in progress
