Maruti Gypsy Pictures

Hey, nice mod. I have seen this pic for a pretty long time. I am not sure if you have still retained the Gypsy. I wanted to know one thing - where did you get those mirrors? Do they have a model/make so I can look them up online or with shops around?
Cheers,
Ashwitz
Spotted this spanking new Gypsy near my home.

Yet another brand new Gypsy :)

In the nilgiris on a summer evening.

Life comes a full circle.
My aunt picked up a new Brezza and ended up gifting this grand old lady to my wife. It's a 86' model which has been used hard but maintained beautifully. I have no idea how much the car has actually done, but I do know that the engine has been rebuilt once but still sounds sweet when even when pushed.
Our first car when we moved to Bangalore 25 years ago was a second hand 86' red gypsy.
Cheers.

What a wonderful narrow track 410 that is Keroo!
Absolutely beautiful! I had seen one of similar vintage in blue color.
I could never make out that the engine was on even when i had my hand on the hood.
So refined, that engine on the 410 was.
Have fun with this one!
Cheers,
Deepak

That's a real beauty you got there, mate! 32 years on and it is still looking as slick as new. How is the transmission holding up? Also, is procurement of parts an issue?

It looks slick but has small niggling issues that will be dealt with when I have the time, but thanks anyway.
Transmission is fine but the drive line has a bit of play, and that's expected considering it's age. Some parts are a problem, like the carb is almost impossible to get now, but between Maruti and the 'guj' I should be able to keep it running for a few years more considering it's taken out only once a week.
A complete view from this mornings mini OTR.

Thanks mate. This is around the Nandi Hills vicinity.
Cheers!
Indeed, Maruti does deliver Gypsies in other colors too.
A friend of mine has just got his delivered in RED (just like my previous one)
Here are some pictures that he has requested me to share.
From the PDI:
And finally, on the date of delivery.

Cheers,
Deepak

Interesting! Where is this and what was the wait period?
