First we finish with the external patch work with body on chassis (I believe that will help to get the proper shape while tinkering). After that will unbolt the body from the chassis and do the platform tinkering.

@Vinod 4.5J ,is for a designed section width of 157mm, for your tyre it should be 6.5J or 6J atleast

The previous owner had put 10 leafs on front and 11 on rear. I want to remove the extra leafs put by him and keep as original (CJ500D) set up so please help.

1. Total no of leafs used on front and rear leaf set?
2. Which are the different leafs used in front and rear leaf set? (If possible, please give me the dimensions)

My mechanic advised me to keep 8 on front and 10 on rear but I am decided to go for the Original OEM set up.(I think the mechanic is not sure which one to remove!)

Hi There,

Looks like the previous owner wanted to raise the GC, experts, is it ok to have extra leaves, for what I know, this should affect the C&P configuration. Please enlighten.

You are absolutely right in deciding to go back to the original setup. Exrtra number of leafs will increase body roll and will affect handling adversely. For the correct number of leaves contact UBS Sir or Behram Sir

Ok NO help from Bhpians

I decided to go head with 8 leafs on front and 9 on rear with a 4" and 4.5" bend.
Jayettan The senior patch worker correcting the leaf spring bend.

The Scorpios 16" tire fits perfectly on the stock rim.

Sreejesh, All the best with your restoration. Contact Arka, Dhabar Behram or Spike Arrester by PM if you need technical help.
After the flood of SWB Jeep restoration stories, good to see some MWB Jeep restorations aswell.
