Hello sreejesh,

Great progress. Don't go for metallic colors jeep looks good in solid colors as per me. Olive green with gloss finish might look good, if you want a dark shade. For lighter shade my choice is light jeep blue, if finished properly it looks great. The rims should be painted black.
You are keeping these fenders or going for flat fenders, I guess 500D had flat fenders originally.

Regards

Pranav

Thank you Pranav.

Olive Green is fine but I just want to try a different shade of green (there are two Olive Green jeeps are there in my place.) something like Pine green or Emerald green.

Hey Sreejesh, thats a good buy and reminds me of the jeeps we had. Could you please tell me what is the engine in this and how much did you pick this up for?

@Spike: Could you please educate me on the differences between this CJ500D and Major (CL500 IIRC)

Cheers

Milecruncher, your question has been answered by sreejesh. BTW Major is CL550 and not CL500.

CJ500D IIRC has the same wheelbase as CL550 i.e. 91", not sure about the axle ratios though (mostly it will be 3.73 or 4.27), frankly speaking i dont have much idea about this animal (CJ500D)

Congrats buddy. A few questions- How are the tyres performing? Isnt the steering too tight with those 235 size tyres? How much did it effect the turning radius?

Thank you.

My Brother wants to put some different shades rather than old same green shades, so I decided blackish gray with matte finish.

I only tested the Jeep for a few Km and the 235/70/R16 Tyre performs well on the road The steering is little heavy But its OK.

Fist coat of oil primer applied.
