ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)

I just cleared my paying by DD confusion, just in case anybody is interested to know it,
DD is issue by a Bank and is prepaid! So the thing is that people trusts more on a Bank than an individual. A cheque can be dishonored for insufficient amount in your account, but a DD being a prepaid instrument cannot!

Fabia VIN is on the left hand side of windshield and can be seen from outside. VIN can be decoded online at octinfo.com - Škoda Octavia info

Yep, I've also bookmarked several VIN Decoder sites and got Wildon's appointment

with the hope of getting the VIN by tomorrow!
Its like they are not having the VIN even they claim to have the car by tonight, that make me bit skeptical in paying whole amount.

Hi Wildon,

As promised the sales man has given me the VIN today. Tried with Octinfo.com and it seems to be May 2011 manufactured one from, of course Pune only. Can you please decode it for more information.

Can you please decode my Vehicle VIN? Its a Maruti Ritz and has 17 characters, but I read from your earlier post, that Month and year are 2 additional characters. Can you kindly confirm if you can decode with this details?

I just got this VIN and havent physically checked this number.

Any website which can properly decode the India edition Polo's VIN no. I tried various European website but they throw up exceptions to these VIN no or somehow manage to recognize them as 1981 VW models
