Please help. How do I decode this?
There are four more digits which the dealer hasn't given you. They generally don't mention it anywhere(not even in service records). There is a white sticker on the bottom right corner of the windshield of the car on which the 17 digit no. followed by a tilde (~) and the 4 digits that mention the month and year of manufacture are printed. The date and time of manufacture is also printed in it.The last 4 digits of my car's VIN are 0611 which means it was manufactured in June 2011.Contact your dealer.I guess Toyota has a 21 digit VIN system.

F= June only. You RC book will say its a June 2011 manufactured vehicle although production date is different.

Checked with the dealer. This one is also June, 2011. I think the VX model is not getting sold fast enough. I am planning to take delivery next week. Thanks pal.

Hi Wildon,

Is it possible to generate a pdf with more details than just the variant and manufacturing month for my Fiat Punto?

The car is a 1.3 MJD Active, delivered to me in May.

The VIN is - MCA11815E07027838DMZ

From your earlier posts, I have decoded that it is a April manufactured car (DMZ) and 11815E corresponds to '1.3 16V E4 75CV / 55KW ACTIVE ' but it will be really great if I can get the production month and more details like in the PDFs.

Thanks in advance.

Give the full 17 charactor VIN, or else find the full chassis number which you can find under the Driver seat, on the floor.

Dear Wildon,
Just booked a VW Polo 1.6.
The VIN is
WVWC11604BT047282

From what i understand it is a March 2011 produced car is that correct?
Is this ok to be getting a March produced car in August?
What other details can be gleaned from this VIN?

Thank you so much.
