Lower freq travel at the same speed as higher freq.

What I would do....keeping in mind the music must sound acceptable to atleast 2 if not 4 passengers.

1. switch off Sub
2. Set up levels and EQ on front and rear as best you can for front 2 seats
3. set up rear for rear passengers
4. Now add sub
5. set up front delay to integrate with sub (I do this by ear)

I usually trwvel with my 4yr old son. He is in his car seat and i am driving. We both love the same music (he can quote Queen's We will Rock you and The Beatles's Yellow Submarine amongst other songs). Why should I deny him an experience as good as mine?

Lol dude, Navin is right. It's sound at the end of the day, irrespective of the frequency. So long as the medium is air, the waves are gonna come atcha at 340m/s.
