Suggest Front Components for Santro (With Pics if possible)

Hi,

Recently i installed new ICE for my Santro

Which consisted of

HU - Pioneer 6850
Front - Pioneer Tweeter with 4" JBL Front Speaker
Rear - JBL T595 Limited - 15 x 24cm (6"x9") 3-Way Multi-Element connected thru Sony Xplod 504 Amp
Rear - JBL 1000Watts Base Tube connected thru another Sony Xplod 504 Amp

I was also gonna install a JBL Front Componet but was confused 2 which model to put and also was curious abt how 2 get it fitted in Santro.

Since i want a clear sound 2 get from my ICE and not a "kharrr kharrr" sound from the door panels.

SO wud request all of u, to help me out solve my queries.

Also it wud b great if someone cud post some pics of Front Components Installed.

Thanx A Lot
Waiting for ur suggestions.

You can have compos at the frnt provided you get a neat fibre install. Maybe even a 6incher compo at the frnt.

I had a pic posted somewher where here which was done in mdf but I doubt its stabilty in teh long run. Go for fibre. You can chech subzero's gallary for an idea.

Thats a good suggestion but will the 4" really do the job.

And will the 4" Image Dynamics sound just like a Component.

Also if u cud clear How much will Image Dynamics 4" cost in Mumbai.

Thanx

He already has a JBL GTO at the frnt. He just need to hook it to an amp. Thsi means he would haev to get another amp, ideally for his sub (liek my setup) and run all speakers frm the 504.

@ rareone; what he meant was you need to power you 4inch frm an amp. I think he didnt read your config right.

Yup i can vouch for that. I got these components from Car-Touch(Milan Subway). Its Kicker Ex-4.2 costing 5k. Sound quality comparable with the larger JBL GTO 506ce component set.

I seriously doubt that a replacement for hsi GTO will bring a big diff. Why? Any 4incher at the frnt pod is left uncovered at the back and hence teh bass would be any better.

Since quite a few posts have un-intentionally run foul of the rules on this thread I will make this a public statement rather than PM everyone involved.

Note: This is not to single any ONE car dealer or distributor or manufacturer out

a) Dealers, Distrbutors, and Manufacturers CANNOT recommend their products unless a direct question is asked of them by a customer (dont assume I dont know who's who).
b) I must credit B&T, Viper, JB/Gunbir and Sam for being very helpful and I assume they and others will continue to keep me abreast of the latest so we can have a nice honest forum here.

For example if Rudra or Mclraen posts their impression on their Hertz speakers or JK posts his opinion on his JBL components it is fine but Gunbir and Sam respectively are not entitled. It is a conflict of interest. Get the picture?... And remember in the audio world everyone is family and I know who's who! :-) let's keep this clean.

I have confirmed my mind for installing a JBL component for the Front.

NOW

The only query is HOW do i install it so tht it gives a clear sound and not a "khaarr khaarr" from the door panels.

Someone told me u can put a wooden ring and on it entangle the speakers.

Someone told me 2 make a fibreglass door panel, but i dont knw where can i get it custom made in mumbai.

So finally help me out again

Why would it make 'kharr kharr' sound unless you play some song which has the lyrics 'kharr kharr'???

Not absolutely necessary to go with fiberglass, you can use a MDF spacer. If you use a good speaker with a sizeable mounting depth, you will have to cut some of the door metal to get the speaker mounted at a desirable location.

since you have infinity, why not get an infinity compo.

@b&t; can this be done in a xing ? just cut and mdf spacer?
