Old HU/Speakers/Amps

Pio 5650 HU, Blaupunkt velocity 10" Sub, Pio amp, Blaupunkt speakers

How would you rate your old setup?

Bad, thats why i changed it.

Why did you get that specific setup?

I din't have much clue about all this audio stuff then, so was obviously cheated into getting it :(

To what you upgraded?

Pio 7750 HU, Pio 944 amp, JBL basstubes (replaced my Pioneer 2000W sub ihad till about a month ago), Kenwood comps, Twister cables

Was the help @ TBHP the cause of your upgrade?

Yes, thanks to everyone for helping me decide especially on the sub. Next setup comming next week, so will need more of that help

Infractions: 0/1 (10)

Old setup goes like this .....
1. Sony HU (7710 ???)
2. Sony 6x9's on the rear parcel tray ..

How would i rate the system ??

8 out of 10 until i got hooked on to tbhp ..

What made me change it ??
Should i be blaming gunman , JB , sam and navin for it and my ATM's readiness to give me the money ??? LOL (just kidding) ...

What did i change to ???
1. Pioneer 7750 HU..
2. Hertz ECX 165 co-ax at the rear ..
3. Hertz ESK 130 compos for the front ..
4. Alpine MRV-F450 amp (5 ch) ..
5. Hertz 10'' sub in a custom made sealed box ..
6. Connection Audison Wiring ..

How much did it set me back by ??
Around 70k .. Install ?? Priceless .. Thank JB for that ..

Was TBHP the main reason for this change ??
OH hell YEAH .. Thank heavens for that ..

OUTCOME ???
Figured out what music actually is , the finesse , clarity , soudstage etc etc .. And a chance from where the rest actually figured out how good hertz is (owing to the fact that they were new to the market and none knew about them) ..

PS : Gunman , put up the details of ur GETZ will u ?? Wondering what all it has gone thru ??

B&T, I do. Every girl I dated and every girl who ever gave me a rainbow since 9th grade. Thank god I got married before my short term memory faded. My long term memory seems fine still. BTW my wife is friends with some of my Ex's she does not know the others but knows of them.

Same with audio I can remember exact model numbers of speakers I played with in the 70s and 80s but cant remember what I used last year.

guys guys, do post a review abt the old HU and rest you had please.

I am using a Pio 7750 now and find it a lot complex than the Sony CDX7510. I had to play with various setting of 7750 to get the sound i wanted. What I understood was that my Sony 7510 was a good HU but it did haev problems with the lens which I got cleaned for 400rs. And my HU was 2yr old and I bought it frm Germany for 7500rs ! Worth it!

@rareone; 2 smiles is da limit. and ATM also stands for Asynchronous Transfer Mode

Well, my pre-bhp setup was crap and nothing can be written about it. It was like a
HU- sony (dont remember the model)
Rear speaker: pioneer
sub-pioneer SVC
amp-Sony xplode 250Watts, which got xploded last year on 26 July rain.

That time i had no knowledge about ICE, but still was never satisfied with the setup.

After joining TBHP and after getting suggestions from you guys it was

My old ICE setup

Hu-pioneer 7750
Amp-Blaupunkt THA480
rear speakers- pioneer (yellow ones) , dont remember the model
Sub - JBL CS 500 watt bass tube
Wiring- some local brand (around 1500 Rs)

How would you rate your old setup?

I guess 6 out of 10. It was a very satisfactory system.

What made me upgrade?

Well, i always wanted to get a powerful, and a very clean sounding system and moreover my passion for music with a lot of bass. Wanted to make it one of the best sounding cars!!!

To what did you upgrade?

Ya, this is the best part

HU-pioneer 7750
Rear speakers- JBL GTO937 (7-series)
Front component speakers - JBL GTO607c (7-series)
Subwoofer- Two JBL GT4-15, 15" Subwoofers.
Amp 4 channel - JBL GTO75.4
Amp Mono- JBL601.1
Wiring-Two JBL sub/amp wiring kits.
Rear-tray- Custom Made
Sub Box - Custom Made
Other (setup, labour, new carpet for boot etc..) - Costing around 10000 Rs

This entire setup cost me around Rs 90000 and it sounds...... jus cant explain!!

Future Upgrare?

Would be installing wo capacitors.. and maybe after some time get a pair of comp for the rear door, two 1600 watt JBL power series subwoofers. a two channel amp for the comps and another 601.1 mono amp for the subs. But... still a lot of time for this.

Was tbhp there to help?

Bilkul, YES, this fourm was always there to help me. What to install? how to install? where to install?... all these questions were answered by you people.

Cheers to bhp
