Pardon me, I'm not able to download the maps as the system doesn't accept m car's VIN. Is there a place I can download and install maps on another memory card.
Can someone share their VIN details over PM so I can download the maps. I'll use the code on my system's ICE itself.

Hope you have entered 17 digits (only) of your VIN number. The last -XX is not required. I've faced similar issue while creating login for Nexa. Its got resolved later after calling the Nexa toll free number. If your Nexa login or Maruti Suzki login is working with the VIN number, it must work here as well. My suggestion would be do that first, and call Customer care if you are unable to do that as well.

Yes, I've entered the 17 digits only (My Ciaz's VIN is 17 digits only). Tried speaking to the Customer care, they have no clue of what I am saying. Asked me to visit the nearest service centre.

Re: Maruti releases map update for its Smartplay Infotainment system

Got the new SD Card from Amazon and uploaded the new maps update in the car. As far as i understand, it looks like a very minor incremental update over the older version. Cant say that it is a replacement for Google maps or anything even close. Would prefer using Google maps on my mobile to be on the safer side. The max I would use the Cars navigation would be to understand in which area I am in case I am in a new place.

People who weren't able to download the update owing to error "wrong VIN", were you able to get any solution? Is everyone able to download the maps?

Noticed that the SD Card supplied with S-Cross is actually 4 GB, though formatted with a single partition of 2 GB!

Yes! Its 4GB, and the reason for 2GB partition size seem to be FAT16 formatting. From fellow members maps work without any problem in FAT32 and NTFS formatted cards as well. So we can backup the original map version, reformat to full size and update . No need for a new card purchase.

Re: Maruti releases map update for its Smartplay Infotainment system

Hello

I tried using both the links (India specific and the global) but keep getting an error saying:

Technical issue occurred

Here's the screenshot of what it shows:
Maruti releases map update for its Smartplay Infotainment system-map_download_error_public.png.

I tried Chrome and IE both and get the same error.

Should I be calling in the below Nexa Helplines for help or write to the service manager?

Re: Maruti releases map update for its Smartplay Infotainment system

Update - Had called up the Nexa helpline but they were not able to help and suggested I email contact@nexaexperience.com.

I emailed them and copy marked the territory service manager for eastern India.

Received a response from the territory manager that he has forwarded it to the concerned person and he is going to get in touch with me. Waiting for a response from them.

Re: Maruti releases map update for its Smartplay Infotainment system

Received the following response from Maruti Support.

Its really strange that they are not aware of the official map update whereas their own site has a microsite for that.

I have lost all hopes since both Nexa Support, Help line, workshop and even the Territory Manager for Service in Kolkata have no idea about this update.
